Changxing Premium Version Crane Shot Blasting Process

Effortless Power, Changxing: Capable of Limitless Capabilities, Driven by Technological Innovation

Today, users have increasingly higher demands for cranes, and Changxing's premium cranes are constantly upgrading to enhance their competitiveness. The manufacturer employs a "hardcore process"—shot blasting—to ensure the Changxing premium cranes achieve the highest level of precision and craftsmanship.

What is shot blasting?

Shot blasting is a mechanical surface treatment process, a cold treatment process, and it is divided into shot blasting cleaning and shot blasting strengthening.

Shot blasting cleaning is used to remove surface oxide scale and other impurities, improving the appearance quality.

Shot blasting strengthening uses a high-speed stream of shot (60-110 m/s) to continuously impact the surface of the workpiece being strengthened, forcing changes to the surface and surface layer (0.10-0.85 mm) of the target material during cyclic deformation.

What is the principle of shot blasting?

Shot blasting refers to the mechanical method of propelling shot (steel shot) at high speed and a specific angle onto a working surface. The high-speed impact of the shot, combined with the vacuum negative pressure and rebound force of a vacuum cleaner, causes the shot to circulate within the equipment. Simultaneously, the airflow from the vacuum cleaner removes and cleans away the shot and impurities, allowing the shot to be reused.

What are the advantages of using shot blasting?

1. The crane structural components are largely undamaged, and their dimensional accuracy remains unchanged.

2. The surface of the crane structural components remains uncontaminated, and the abrasive does not chemically react with the components.

3. For difficult-to-process grooves on structural components, shot blasting can achieve full coverage, meeting various surface finishing requirements.
